Fujii to contest NCR stint in NSPC 2018

The Shoeland, MariSci’s official publication, represented the school in the recently concluded Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) last October 6 in Marikina High School.

Mikaela Akemi Fujii won 1st in Science and Technology Writing (Filipino medium) and is set to compete for the same category in the Nationals Schools Press Conference (NSPC) in Pangasinan this February 19 to 23, 2019.

MariScian campus journalists also won various awards in the RSPC in various categories.

Radio Broadcasting and Scriptwriting (Filipino medium) also did a nailbiter against the champion Caloocan team, winning 2nd overall in the contest.

The Radio Broadcasting team consisting of Danielle John Aguilar, Jeremy Albert Gusi, Warren Ancheta, Ruzzel Asuncion, Julia Marco, Zhaila Emnas, and Joaquin Mercado, also won various awards, such as: Best Overall Anchors (3rd, 4th), Best Infomercial (1st), Technical Application (4th), and Scriptwriting (6th).

Arthur James Feriol, Supreme Student Government (SSG) Peace Officer, won 5th place in Sports Writing.

Moreover, the Collaborative Online Publishing consisted of Jethro Rumbaoa, Rovick Suarez, Judi Peralta, Hazel Grace Romero, and Angela Santos won 7th place overall.

Belenette Homan (English medium) and Mary Cris Mirabel (Filipino medium) coached the MariScian campus journalists for the RSPC.


INDIVIDUAL:

     Arthur James Feriol - 5th Place in Sports Writing

 

GROUP CATEGORY:

     Online Publishing - 7th Place

     Ulat Panradyo - 2nd Place

  • 3rd and 4th Best Overall Anchors (Filipino)
  • 1st in Infomercial (Filipino)
  • 4th in Technical Application (Filipino)
  • 6th in Script Writing (Filipino)
